• Calling All Talented Young Sea Anglers In Sussex

Do you think you’ve got what it takes to fish for England?

If so, enter the Junior Beach Match at the Bexhill Sea Angling Festival on Sunday September 8th where coaches of our elite international sea angling teams will be scouting for talented young sea anglers between the ages of 13 and 18 with the potential to fish for England.

Do you think you’ve got what it takes to fish for England?

Those youngsters identified on the day will then be encouraged to attend the Angling Trust’s Talent pathway programme which provides competitive opportunities, coaching and a structured pathway to develop their talent towards possibly representing England on the international stage.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for young sea anglers in Sussex and beyond who have the potential to fish competitively for England to get themselves noticed by the selectors. The Talent Pathway programme will support their learning and help anglers realise their ambition of fishing for England”, said Ben Thompson, the Angling Trust’s Talent Development Manager. I would encourage any talented young sea anglers in Sussex to enter the Junior match at the Bexhill Festival. You never know, it could be the first step towards becoming an international angler and representing England!”.
